Vice President
Dr. Gene Aug
has over 30 years of experience in organizational management, marketing
and fund development in schools, parishes, and other non-profit
institutions. His extensive experience in student recruitment and
public relations includes his work with the Springfield Catholic
Schools in Missouri, where he initiated a recruitment and public
relations plan that resulted in an increase of enrollment of more
than 50% over a six year period.
Dr. Aug has given in-depth workshops on recruitment and public relations,
and has in-serviced many boards, parish councils, and administrators.
He has been called on by numerous dioceses and schools throughout
the Midwest for consultative advice regarding enrollment and public
relations plans.
Since joining
Ruotolo Associates in 1991, Gene has worked with a number of parishes,
Catholic schools, and other non-profit organizations throughout
the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. In a fund development role,
Dr. Aug has been instrumental in raising millions of dollars through
capital, annual and endowment campaigns. Some of his Catholic school
clients include Marist High School and St. Francis de Sales High
School, Chicago, IL; Archbishop Prendergast High School and St.
Maria Goretti High School, Philadelphia, PA; Notre Dame Regional
High School, Cape Girardeau, MO; Springfield Catholic Schools, Springfield,
MO; St. Mary's Ryken High School, Leonardtown, MD; St. John the
Baptist High School, St. Louis, MO; and All Saints Preparatory Academy,
Louisville, KY.
As Vice President,
Gene's responsibilities include operations, sales and supervision
of Midwest accounts. His specialties encompass annual giving programs;
development program assessments; planning, marketing and feasibility
studies; and capital campaigns. In 1994, he received the firm's
Culture of Excellence Award.
Dr. Aug received
his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Missouri
at St. Louis. He received his Doctoral Degree in Educational Administration
from St. Louis University. He has practical experience as a teacher,
principal, coordinator, director of schools, and executive director
of development.
Gene lives with
his wife and two of his four children in Springfield, Missouri.
He is active in his parish and diocese, and currently serves as
a Development Board Member for the Springfield Catholic School System.
